Trisha Murakawa

Vice Chair

Elected in November 2020, Trisha Murakawa serves on the El Camino Community College Board of Trustees, a single college district in the South Bay of Los Angeles County. Trisha’s priorities include closing the equity gap to ensure college is accessible to everyone, but especially foster youth, those who are formerly incarcerated, older and underemployed adults. As a fourth generation of community volunteer in her family, Trisha also serves on the boards of 211 LA County and the LAX Coastal Chamber of Commerce. Professionally, Trisha is the Chief Problem Solver for Murakawa Communications, a strategic communications and public affairs firm specializing in water, transportation, construction, solid waste and community planning, working with public agencies to improve our quality of life.
